The all leather construction makes them more durable. It took about two days to get them broken in. After the brief break in period they were very comfortable. I have been in several rain storms but my feet have remained dry. So far I am very pleased.

I used to wear Rocky Alpha Force but they did not have the support these do. I am on feet all day and walk on average 4-5 miles in them. They are fantastic, just keep them dressed with the Danner dressing and no scuffs. I suggest having two pairs if you need to wear them everyday so you can rotate them and allow them to dry between wears.
