We planned on doing some fairly difficult hiking, and figured an old set of running shoes wouldn't work.
We were right.
The boots look great, and per usual with Ecco my "size" is always spot on. They were comfortable, and survived the wet rainforest and a trek up a volcano. No blisters, no pain, no problem. Although spendy, I'd rather have something that works from a reputable manufacturer than have issues that might affect my vacation. Excellent buy.

You won't be disappointed. When in doubt about size, try the smaller number...

I do a lot of hiking and had a great experience in the past with Ecco Trek II boots. This new model, Kolyma II has been very comfortable and excellent with keeping feet dry in a long hike when it rains. I purchased these boots and spent a bit higher on them as I have a long Everest Base Camp expedition ahead. I have a piece of mind with Ecco boots when it comes to professional hiking. I wore the other Ecco pair on another hike on Nepal and it was very comfortable for long hike.
