Thick sole, solid construction. You really would be hard pressed to beat the craftmanship. Now, the downside. The sizing is attrocious. I have worn a size 12 for years, I've bought boots from Amazon with no issues. For whatever reason, this boot is ridiculously narrow. I tried to stretch it out, but it just refused to cooperate. I was torn between a 3 or 4 star review, but to me until the sizing issue is corrected, it's too risky to recommend.
I have three other sets of Harley boots, all size 12 and none of them had this issue. Maybe they switched manufacturers? Try them on locally if you can find it, then order from here, you'll be hard pressed to beat these prices.

The boot has a great look to it. It was initially a bit snug in width, but in one day the leather quickly gave way to custom fit my foot. The boot was true to length. The insole is barely existent. It is a mere thin layer of flat foam. It is perfect for me though because I use my custom arch support inserts. Overall, happy enough to recommend it.
